Cycloidal Pinwheel Reducer Working Principle

 

The entire transmission device of the planetary cycloidal pinwheel reducer can be divided into three parts: input part, reduction part, and output part.

 

A double eccentric sleeve offset by 180° is installed on the input shaft. Two roller bearings are installed on the eccentric sleeve to form an H mechanism. The center holes of the two cycloidal wheels are the raceways of the rotating arm bearings on the eccentric sleeve. The cycloid wheel meshes with a set of annularly arranged pin gears on the pin gear to form an internal meshing reduction mechanism with a small tooth difference. (In order to reduce friction, in reducers with small speed ratios, the pin teeth are equipped with pin teeth. set).


When the input shaft makes one revolution with the eccentric sleeve, due to the characteristics of the tooth gallery curve on the cycloidal wheel and the limitation of the pin teeth on the needle gear, the motion of the cycloidal wheel becomes a planar motion with both revolution and rotation. When the input shaft rotates forward for one revolution, the eccentric sleeve also rotates once, and the cycloidal wheel rotates through a tooth difference in the opposite direction to be decelerated. With the help of the W output mechanism, the low-speed rotation of the cycloidal wheel is transmitted to the output through the pin. shaft, resulting in lower output speed.
