Belt Driven Roller Overview:
The Conveyor Belt Drive Roller is one of the key components of the belt conveyor, which provides the driving force to propel the belt movement. The Head Drive Pulley is usually located at the starting point of the belt conveyor, and the power from the motor or other source is transmitted to the roller through the reduction device. It usually consists of a metal cylinder and rubber tires. The outside of the rubber tire has raised rubber cams, called cam shapes, that match the grooves of the belt. As the drive drum rotates, the cam shape pushes the belt forward.
The driving roller of a belt conveyor is usually composed of multiple rollers to increase driving force and stability. These rollers are mounted on the frame of the conveyor and are usually supported and fixed by bearings. The belt between the rollers forms a continuous circulation conveying system that can transport materials horizontally, inclined or vertically.
